They are here...finally

Our brand new shampoo & conditioners have started to hit the shelves. We are so excited to bring these products to you!

Today we are going to tell you all about our new Shampoo.

Our new shampoo is sulfate free. Zip.Zero.Nada. No alcohols, No Lauryl, Laureth or Laurel Sulfates!
There are a few drawbacks to going completely sulfate free. Sulfates are the glue that holds a formula together. They are the cleansing agent, the lathering agent, the surfactant. Basically the main ingredient that allows all of the conditioning agents in the formula to remain viscous and stable. Inherently, a sulfate-free shampoo will not be as conditioning, will not lather as well and cannot withstand being highly scented.

Thankfully, technology in the personal care industry is ever-evolving and striving to produce innovative sulfate alternatives, including the ones we have used in this clarifying formula. The end result is a shampoo that clarifies without over stripping, and contains beneficial ingredients that add shine, moisture and antioxidants without weighing down hair.

So what are the goodies that are in it?

Decyl Glucoside our choice of surfactant
Considered relatively new for use in the beauty industry, decyl glucoside is far less likely to cause skin irritation than other types of surfactants which have led to its ever-increasing popularity. It is a non-ionic surfactant and also a great foaming agent. Decyl Glucoside is made by combining the glucose sugar found in cornstarch with the fatty acid decanol found in coconut. It is even considered mild enough for use in shampoo for children. Originated from natural renewable sources.

Plyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract - Apple extract has been studied and shown to provide great antioxidant effects. The phenolic compounds present in apple extract, particularly from apple seeds, have been shown to scavenge free radicals in the skin tissues, protecting against premature aging. The moisturizing qualities of apple seed oil makes it an excellent choice for all skin types, but is particularly effective for dry skin that has been subject to damage from the elements.

Virgin Organic Argania spinosa (Argan) Nut Oil
Argan Oil is exceptionally rich in natural vitamin E, Omega 9, Omega 6, rich in phenols, phenolic acid, carotenes, squalene, and essential fatty acids. It is excellent for locking in moisture and improving shine and luster. Argan Oil has been shown to penetrate the hair shaft and almost instantly improve follicle elasticity, and increase nourishment.

Cetyl triethylmonium dimethicone peg-8

-reduces irritation and works well with sensitive skin

-enhanced manageability and superior conditioning for hair

-rejuvenates dry and damaged hair as well as is a great detangling agent

-derives from a water soluble conditioning agent for sensitive scalps.

-protects hair against humidity and harsh weather conditions

-moisturizes both the hair and skin for an all around refreshing and comfortable feeling

We also use it because it is non irritating.

Polyquaternium -81

This polyquat is derived from Sugars and fatty alcohols. Its benefits surpass the added bonus of it being derived from renewable sources. We use it because it has a low irritation factor while providing superior conditioning with no greasy build up.

We think you will love the new shampoo as much as we do. We have tested it on all hair types and have gotten nothing but rave reviews. Give it a try & make the switch to sulfate free!
